Jean L. Watson age 82 of Alford, Fl passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a member of the Salem Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Watson had been a train conductor for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Mary Lorene Watson on February 6, 2009, his parents William T. and Frances Idela Watson, his daughter Ann Watson and his son James Edward Watson and six brothers. Survivors include his sons Jean Havard Watson and wife Patricia and John Wesley Watson and wife Brenda all of Alford his brother Raymond Watson and wife Dianne of Altha, sisters; Dorothy Jones and husband William Earl of North Carolina, Mary Frances Williamson of Georgia and Allie Mae Arnette and husband V. D. of Pensacola, Fl. , grandchildren Valerie Lewis, Robbie Chafin and wife Lisa, Cindy Jordan and husband John, Sharon Powell and husband Richard, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Watson will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 and 10:00 A.M. in the Salem Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Hussey officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
