Mrs. Hariett E. Flippen, 92 years old, of North 20th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 12, 1967 in a local rest home. She was born February 10, 1876 in Staffordshire, England. A resident of Van Buren for 60 years, she was the wife of W. T. Flippen who died in 1938 and a member of Trinty episcopal church.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Jones of Fort Smith; a brother, George Curtis of Frederick, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. T. E. campbell of St. Louis, Missouri and Mrs. Phoebe Housley of Cate's Nursing home; three grandchildren, Mrs. Doris Johnson and Jack Jones of Fort Smith and Mrs. Mary Lou Rountree of Formosa and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Edwards Funeral Home chapel with Brady Cook, the officiating minister. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.
