Charles Hopkins
PORT CLINTON-Charles W. Hopkins, 68, 715 Fremont Road, died Friday in the emergency room at H. B. Magruder Hospital.
Born Aug. 28, 1917, in Genoa, he was a son of George and Myrtle Hedden Hopkins.
He had worked as a grinder at Port Clinton Manufacturing Co. for 34 years, before retiring in August.
Surviving are his wife, the former Trois Yates Huff, whom he married March 21, 1947; a step-son, Jack Ressler of Fostoria; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Gay of Port Clinton; six stepgrandchildren; nine great-stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Hazel Clark and June Deuble, both of Fostoria.
His parents and a brother, John, preceded him in death.
Hopkins was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Gerner and Wolf Funeral Home, 216 Washington St., where the family will be in attendance from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Holly officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
