From "The Daily Register," of Harrisburg, Illinois, Monday, 28th of January 1946, page 1; Charles J. Cannon age 65, who resided in St. Louis for a number of years and who died Saturday was held this afternoon at the Gibbons funeral home in this city. Apoplexy caused his death. He was brother of Mrs. J. H. Berry, Mrs. T.R. McCormick, & Mrs. Charles McKenzie, Harrisburg, Mrs. M.D. Ledbetter, San Louis, Colorado, Mrs. Naomie Pearce & Mrs. Nelle Rightmire, Chicago and Dr. Harry Cannon also of Chicago. His wife was a St. Louis woman, died in 1940.
