***Obituary from Hutsonville Herald, March 8, 1908***

Mrs. Margaret A. Lawhead, wife of J. H. Lawhead, who formerly resided north of Hutsonville, died on the 18th of January at their home in Peach Orchard, Ark., where they have been residing since 1894 [sic]. She was born in Clark county [sic] Dec. 26, 1846, and was married to Mr. Lawhead in 1868. To this union were born seven children, three of whom are living, being Jasper Lawhead, Mrs. Emily Foster and Mrs. Manerva Metcalfe. She was a member of the M.E. Church at York and was a kind mother and good neighbor. She was taken sick in June of last year and was confined to her bed for several months. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Pridemore and her remains were laid to rest in the Jonesridge cemetery in Greene county, Arkansas. She leaves a husband, three children and many friends to mourn her death.
