Catherine J. Barbaro, 86, of New Smyrna Beach, a loving wife and mother, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Mrs. Barbaro was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1953 from her birthplace. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ted Barbaro; two daughters, Rose Mary Barbaro and Susan Barbaro, both of Daytona Beach. She was preceded in death by her only brother, Tony Barbera in 1996. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the All Faiths Mausoleum at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM with a Wake service at 7:30 PM on Monday, August 24 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 1003 Turnbull St., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
