MRS. GEORGE R. MILLER

Mrs. George R. Miller died at her home in Russell on Sunday, December 9th, 1917, at the advanced age of 86 years, 3 months and 4 days, after an illness of but a few days. She had been very feeble for some time.

Sarah A. Holsclaw was born in Garrard county, Kentucky, September 5th, 1831. When but five years old she moved with her parents to Indiana, where she grew to womanhood.

On April 5th, 1866, she was married in Monroe county, Iowa to George R. Miller, who passed away several years ago. She united with the Presbyterian church of Vernon, Indiana in her youth and remained a faithful and devoted member of the Presbyterian church until death claimed her.

She was a grand, good woman and her departure will be deplored by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn their loss three sisters, Mrs. Effie Dixon, of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Isabel Holsclaw, of Harrisburg, Kentucky and Julia Holsclaw, of Albia, Iowa, other relatives and a host of friends.
