Delton E. Jenkins died Friday at his home here two days short of his 84th birthday.
Born March 11, 1889, in Alpina Pass, Ark., Jenkins came to Lakeview from San Francisco in 1936.
His wife, the former Wilma Adel Abbott, whom he married in Tucumcari, NM, March 3, 1912, died Oct. 20, 1965.
Jenkins is survived by a son, Tom, Lakeview; a daughter, Dorothy Howard, Lakeview; brothers, G.O. Jenkins, Tumcari, NM and C.Y. Jenkins, Albuquerque, NM; a sisters, Mr. E. Ray Smith, Roswell, NM, five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
