Funeral services will be held Friday for Robert L. Bockius of 128 E. Walnut Street, Perkasie,who died at his home Sunday following a lengthy illness. He was 74. He was the husband of Blanche Cope Fretz Bockius. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert and Amelia Weiss Bockius. He was employed as a machinist by the North Penn Machine and Tool Co. for 35 years before retiring in 1985. He became a machinist in 1942 and worked al the Joyce Machine Co., Philadelphia during the war. He was a member of St.Andrew's Lutheran Church, Perkasie. Surviving with his widow are a daughter Anne, wife of Jere Cocker of East Rockhill Township, six stepdaughters, Lucille, wife of Lloyd Rush of Perkasie; Joan, wife of Lee Vogt of Quakertown; Kathleen, wife of Robert Fretz; and Lola, wife of J. Michael Smith, both of Sellersville; Majorie, wife of Charles Barrett of Doylestown; and Connie, wife of David Smith of Silverdale; three stepsons, Raymond E. Fretz, Jr., Steven Fretz, both of Perkasie, and Randall Fretz of Sellersville; three grandchildren , 26 step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church preceded by a calling hour. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand View-Quakertown Hospice. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, South Perkasie.
