Mary Ellen Lenoir, daughter of Dr. William Bouchelle Lenoir and Sarah Drusilla Chappell, married George Wilkerson Allison on October 19, 1880 in Columbia, Missouri.

Mary Ellen was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her National DAR #182154. This DAR marker lies next to her stone in the McPherson City Cemetery. Mary Ellen's Revolutionary War Patriot is General William Lenoir
of North Carolina. General Lenoir's son was Walter Raleigh Lenoir that married Mary Elvira (Polly) Bouchelle. Their son, Dr. William Bouchelle Lenoir and Sarah Drucilla Chappell (1821-1911) were married 23 Feb 1844 & were the parents of Mary Ellen Lenoir Allison.

Mary Ellen Lenoir and George Wilkerson Allison had one son: George Lenoir Allison b. 31 Jul 1889 d. 15 Mar 1967

"MRS. GEORGE ALLISON, 90, DIES
Mrs. George W. Allison, 90, McPherson county resident since 1880 and widow of the late George W. Allison, prominent McPherson county lawyer, died at her home 422 South Maple street, at 4:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon following several months of failing health.
She came to McPherson county from Columbia, Mo.,in 1880 a year after Mr. Allison had opened an abstract office here with his brother, the late B.A. Allison.
Mrs. Allison is survived by one son, George L. Allison, his wife and a grandson, William Allison. She is also survived by Mrs. J. G. Draper, of Topeka, and Mrs. F.L. Hayth, of Dallas, Texas and other relatives at Columbia, Mo., and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services are to be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at the First Christian Church with Rev. Glenn Witherspoon in charge. Interment will be at the McPherson cemetery."
