Mrs. Sarah Clauser, 78, who had resided in Rossville for more than thirty years, died Monday morning at the Ball Memorial hospital in Muncie, of heart trouble. Mrs. Clauser had been seriously ill for a month and about two weeks ago was taken to the Muncie hospital.
The funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the I. E. Moore funeral home. Rev. Handstra, of the Presbyterian church, officiated. Mrs. Lyle Rodenbarger and Miss Ruth Maish sang "The Old Rugged Cross." Burial was in St. John's cemetery, southwest of Rossville.
Mrs. Clauser was born near Madison, Ind., June 15, 1859, and was married to Charles Clauser, who died in 1909. Three children survive: Dr. E. H. Clauser of Muncie, C. H. Clauser of New York City, and Mrs. Harvey Carson of Los Angeles. A stepson, G. D. Clauser of Rossville, also survives, and a sister, Mrs. James Scott of Frankfort, and seven grandchildren.
