Mrs. Hemmerling Died Last Thursday
The Grace Lutheran church was filled to capacity with friends who gathered w Monday afternoon to pay their last respects at the funeral of Alvina "Pat" Hemmerling. The Rev. Robert Oestreich conducted the services at the church and Mrs. Oestreich sang during the services accompanied by Mrs. Robert Morse. The concluding service and burial were conducted at the grave in the Cashmere cemetery. Casket bearers were: John McDonald, Howard Murdock, Sam Larson, Forrest Rankin, Charlie Lapp and John Radach.
Alvina Hemmerling was born October 13, 1915 at Ruff, Wash. The first ten years of her life were spent near Ruff and in 1925 she came with her parents to Cashmere to make her home. She attended the Cashmere grade schools and high school and on November 14 she was united in marriage to Ray Hemmerling in Spokane. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mr Hemmerling came to Cashmere and this has been their home ever since. Mrs. Hemmerling passed away last Thursday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Art Lobe following an extended illness.
Surviving are her husband, Ray, three children, Tommy Bobbie and Marjorie all at home, her father, A. L. Loeffelbein, three sisters, Mrs. R. H. Ramm residing in Idaho, Mrs. Art Lobe of Cashmere and Mrs. Thomas Old of Renton and one brother, Tobias Loeffelbein of Cashmere. She was preceded in death by her mother who passed away a year ago. The funeral is under the direction of Kuelbs & Braun Funeral home.
