•Note: George Riley Dodson, age 17, is on page 348 of the 1850 census for Marion County living with his parents George and Rebecca (Hedspeth) Dodson. His future wife Susan Allen is on the same page, also 17, living with her parents Joseph and Nancy (Harris) Allen. After living on a farm for over 20 years near Hodgenville, Kentucky, George and his family moved to a farm near Whitesboro, Texas with a wagontrain. At the turn of the century they moved once again to Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. George was a former Grayson County Commissioner in Texas.
