William Chantrill was born July 2, 1882 in Logan, Utah. He was the 4th child of James Chantrill and Annis Adeline Preston.
He married Susan Elizabeth Martineau on Sept.9, 1908 in the Logan LDS Temple.

William spent the first half of his working years farming in southern Idaho. He later sold farm implements in Shelley and Rexburg, Idaho. He died in the Blackfoot, Idaho hospital on Oct. 21, 1969.
