Mrs. Pendell was a resident of Fond du Lac fifty-seven years. She was born in Lincoln, Chenango county, N.Y., and was previous to her marriage to Mr. Pendell, Sarah A. Coon. Her marriage to Mr. Pendell occurred Feb. 16, 1852, at Pitcher, N.Y. and in 1859 they came west locating in Fond du Lac.
She leaves her husband, and three children, Mrs. F. Crapsey, of Milwaukee; Mrs. William Schaefer, of this city, and Mr. Fred D. Pendell, superintendent for the North Western; also two grandchildren, F.F. Crapsey, Milwaukee; and Miss Eleanore Harris, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. W.W. Mead and Mrs. J.H. Taylor, and one Brother, John D. Coon, all of Fond du Lac.
Mrs. Pendell's long residence in Fond du Lac was attended by the continued respect and esteem of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. Mrs. Pendell was a staunch member of the Baptist church for many years. A year ago she identified herself with the Seventh Day Adventists congregation. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
