Services for Walter S. Applegate, 68, retired masonry and building contractor will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Rebold Funeral Cheviot Burial will be in Bridgetown Cemetery. Mr. Applegate died Friday at his Home, 3580 Powner Rd. Mack. He had Operated Applegate Builders, the firm founded by his father since 1922, His firm built St. Martin Church Cheviot, the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Home, Holy Family Church Cincinnati and numerous schools in Greater Cincinnati Applegate Avenue in Cheviot was named for his father. He leaves his wife, Frances; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Molloy; two sons, Gilbert Mailer and Walter S. Jr. all of Cheviot; a brother Byron, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Lester Kelsey Cincinnati, and Mrs. Earl Warrick. 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday at the rebold Funeral Home.
