DAYTON — Richard Agee, 43, of Rosburg, Wash., died Friday at an Ilwaco hospital. Born Feb. 3, 1930, in Dayton, he was the son of the late James and Florence Agee. The family
lived in Dayton during his early years and he graduated from Dayton High School. Agee was also a graduate of Central Washington State College On Sept. 1, 1950. He married Vivien Purnell. During the 1950s and early 1960s Agee served on the night police force in Ritzville and Ellensburg. From 1953 until 1970 he was employed by the Ritzville School District. In addition to teaching assignments, he coached football, wrestling and track. Since 1970, he has been employed as principal of Grays River Valley Grade School at Rosburg. Survivors include his wife, Vivien, and four children. Jennifer, Stacey. Mark and Lynette, all of the home; two brothers: James Agee of Montague, Calif., and Donald Agee of El Cajon, Calif.; two sisters: Mrs. Lillian Gogel of Cleveland, and Mrs Shirley Knox of Prosser.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Naselle, Wash, Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday in the Dayton Cemetery. A nephew, Dean Agee, will officiate at the graveside.
