Jedediah Lewis Ashton, 94, died Dec. 21 at his Eagle River residence. Visitation was held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel downtown. Funeral and burial services were in Idaho with arrangements by Manning Funeral Chapel in Pocatello, Idaho.

Mr. Ashton was born Jan. 15, 1899, in Salt Lake City. He had been a farmer and landscaper. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in church most of his life. He enjoyed singing.

Mr. Ashton is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gay and Clayton Netzley of Eagle River; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Pam of Anchorage; and his grandchildren and their families, Mike and Kim Cress, Richard and Susan Netzley, Kevin and Tamra McDonald, Westen and Roben Shreeve, and Robert and Wynett Netzley, all of Anchorage, and Matt Netzley of Eagle River.
