Darlene died at her home in Fairwinds Retirement Center. Born to Joseph Hansen and Sarah Fay Ashment, she attended Grant Elementary and Midway High School and graduated from Rigby High School. She and Leland R. Clapp were married May 6, 1955, and later divorced. She and her eternal companion Leslie were married June 16, 1965, in Twin Falls. Darlene was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Salt Lake City at the Genealogical Library. She served in the Temple and enjoyed studying the gospel and doing genealogy. Survivors included: son Karl (Mary) Clapp, Marion, IA; daughter Lorna (Bert) Holland, Idaho Falls; sister Charolotte Brunelli, Twin Falls; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Prreceding were her parents and husband was brother Lynn Hansen. Funeral Services held September 14 at Idaho Falls Crestwood Ward, 2055 Coronado, with Bishop Kipp Manwaring officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Wood Funeral Home.
