MRS. MATTIE ELIZABETH CHRISTMAS

Mrs. Mattie Elizabeth Chrsistmas, 67, of Cottondale, Rt. 1, died early Saturday in a Dothan hospital. She was a native of Robertsdale, Ala., but had lived in the Piney Grove community since 1931. She was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be a 3 p.m. Sunday in the Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. H. T. Hagler and the Rev. Ferrell Melvin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

She is survived by four sons, the Rev. Ellis Hamp Christmas of Bonifay, Earl A. Christmas, Ben O. Christmas and John Alton Christmas, all of Cottondale; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Christmas Cotton and Mrs. Elaina [Elaine] Christmas Holley, both of Tallahassee, and Mrs. Frances Arlene Gay of Arcadia; one brother, Charlie G. Burke, Pensacola; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Enfinger and Mrs. Eva Grimes, both of Molino; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
