Services for Mrs. Cora Scruggs, who died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sneed Nursing in Whitehaven, will be at 2 this afternoon at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Independence, Miss. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Brantley Funeral Home of Hernando, Miss., in charge.
Born in Tate County, Miss., Mrs. Scruggs had lived most of her life in Independence until moving to the nursing home two years ago. She was the wife of G. C. Scruggs, a retired farmer. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
