ALFRED V. HARE
Services for Alfred V. Hare, 80, 2518 Knight Avenue, who died at 9:37 a.m. yesterday in St. Anthony Hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at McAllister-Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 304 North 5th Street. The Rev. Lyle B. Gansel of the Church of Good Shepherd will officiate, and burial will be in Willwood Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 o'clock tonight.
Mr. Hare was born Sept. 29, 1867 in Wilmington, Del., and came to Rockford 32 years ago. He married the former Etta Raper, Oct. 3, 1889 in Pawnee, Neb. Mr. Hare had been an elevator operator in the Cutler building the last five years.
Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. H. E. Moody, Mrs. Lester W. Phillips and Mrs. Kenneth Lundberg, all of Rockford; five sons, Walter, Hubert and Albert Hare, all of Rockford; D. L. Hare, Washington D.C., and L. J. Hare, Urbana, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
