Maurice J. Fenton, 51, Minnesota City, died Thursday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Bremerton, Wash. He had been hospitalized there for orthopedic surgery and suffered a heart attact before the surgery was preformed. He retired here in 1956 from farming.
The son of Dennis and Jane Fenton, he was born in Ford County, Ill, July 11, 1921. In 1949 he married Agnes Holland at Rollingstone. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Minnesota City.
Survivors are: his wife; two sons, Dennis, Opympia, Wash., and Kevin, and Home; three daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Maureen) Googins, Canyon City, Colo.; Mrs. Thomas (Colleen) Schneider, Winona, and Miss Sheila Fenton, Rochester, Minn.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas and Donald, Kempton, Ill., and three sisters, Mrs. Emil (Dorothy) Durcholz, Jasper, Ind., and Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Maley and Mrs. William (Bernice) Ferris, Kankakee, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Rev. John Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Rollingstone.
Friends may call at Sellner-Hoff Funeral Home, Rollingstone, Saturday after 4 p.m. where the Rosary will be at 8:45.
