Tolbert N. Epps Sr.,
Retired foreman, dies
Tolbert N. Epps, Sr., retired line construction foreman for the old Birmingham Electric Co., died today. He was 75.
Mr. Epps died at his home at 1820 St. Charles ct, sw, after a long illness.
He was a native of Clarke County, GA, but had lived here since 1911. The West End Methodist Church member had been retired 10 years.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Frank P. Epps, T. N. Epps, Jr., T. E. Epps and L. J. Epps, all of Birmingham; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Jinks, Mrs. Willie Mae McKinstrey and Mrs. Carolyn Elliott, all of Birmingham; four sisters, Miss Pearl Epps, Miss Mattie Lou Epps, Mrs. Daisy Fuller and Mrs. Susie Vann Rhodes, all of Madison, GA; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grand-children.
Services will be at 3 p.m., tomorrow, at Johns-Ridout's Church Chapel. The Rev. Henry Gary will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
