Warren, Ill., March 28 - Del G. Butler passed away at 12:10 Thursday night after a month's illness. He was born Feb. 13, 1876, in Winslow township, Stephenson county, to David and Charlotte Butler. He was married Oct. 5, 1899, to Mary Elizabeth Bechtold, of Nora, who survives as do one daughter, Mrs. A. M. (Hazel) Clay, and two sons, Clayton and Elmer Butler, of Nora. There are five grandchildren and one-great-grandchild. A sister, Mrs. Mary Wainwright, lives in Warren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two sisters and three brothers. He was a member of Jo Daviess Lodge No. 278, A. F. & A. M., Warren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Graham funeral home and interment will be made in Elmwood cemetery.

Nora Resident Passes Away

Del G. Butler passed away at the St. Francis hospital at Freeport Thursday at 12:10 p.m. He was 71 years, 11 months, 14 days of age at the time of passing.

Mr. Butler was born February 13, 1876 in Winslow Township, the son of David and Charlotte Harmon Butler.

On October 5, 1899 he was married to Mary Elizabeth Bechtold at Nora, Illinois. They farmed around Nora and a number of years ago moved into the town of Nora.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. A. M. Clay (Hazel), two sons, Clayton and Elmer of Nora. Five grandchildren, Mrs. Dorothy Franklin of Waukon, Iowa, Eileen, Francis, Delmar and Kathryn Butler. One great grandchild, Michael Franklin. One sister Mrs. Mary Wainwright of Warren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Myrtle, his parents, two sisters, Mrs. George Price and Mrs. Walter Stine, 3 brothers, Will and Charlie Butler and Elmer Dennis.

Deceased was a member of Jo Daviess Lodge Number 176 AF and AM at Warren.

Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Graham Funeral home. Rev. Norman FrerKing officiated.

Burial was made at Elmwood Cemetery.

There were Masonic services at the grave.
