1913-2009 Alice L. Webber DeMoss, 95, of Plattsburg, MO, was born November 14, 1913, and died May 30, 2009 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri. Alice was married May 21, 1933 to Charles DeMoss, who preceded her in death in December 1989. Alice was also preceded in death by her parents William and Olivia Webber; six brothers, Rex, Virgil, Jack, Brick, L.M., and Clarence Webber; two sisters, Evelyn Taylor, and Mary Hellen Askren; two sons, Thomas and David DeMoss; a daughter Mary Ruth Wade and a grandson, Wade Jackson Wilhoit. Alice leaves four grandsons, Ronald Wade, Maysville, Missouri, Greg Wade, Stewartsville, Missouri, Richard Wade, Plattsburg, Missouri, and Brian King, St. Joseph, Missouri; seven granddaughters, Laura Varney, Aurora, Colorado, Phyllis Kage, Kearney, Missouri, Karen Jackson, Liberty, Missouri, Leah Watts, St. Joseph, Missouri, Audra Brundage, Riverside, Missouri, Sharon DeMoss, Lathrop, Missouri and Susan Wade- Wilhoit, Shawnee, Kansas; two daughters-in-law, Peggy DeMoss, Kansas City, Missouri, Pat DeMoss, Plattsburg; fourteen great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was a homemaker, a loving grandparent, and friend. All will remember her by her beautiful smile, big brown eyes, and an ear always ready to listen, and share her knowledge with you. Her past times were reading, cooking, and sharing stories about her family and faith. She was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church of Plattsburg. "Granny" was loved by all who met her and will be missed by many. Funeral Services 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2009, First Baptist Church, Plattsburg. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery, Plattsburg. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2009, Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service, Plattsburg.
