A graduate of Leaf River High School, she lived 30 years in Rockford, coming here from Byron.
Survivors include her husband, Ivan; a son, Joel Palmer, Barbaboo, Wis; four grandchildren; a great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs Audrey Hooker, Loves Park.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 428 Park Ave.

CALLAHAN--Mrs. Aileen D Callahan, 62, 511 N Church St, died at 10:10 pm Monday, May 1, 1978, in her home after a long illness. Born Feb 14, 1915, in Leaf River. Lived 30 years in Rockford, coming here from Byron. Married to Ivan Callahan in Oregon, Aril 8, 1961. Graduated from Leaf River High School. Survivors include her husband; a son, Joel Palmer, Baraboo, Wis; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Branning, Rockford; three grandsons and a granddaughter; a great-grandson; a sister, Mrs Audrey Hooper [sic], Loves Park; and several nieces and nephews.
Services at 3 pm Thursday, May 4, in Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 428 Park Ave, with the Rev Donald Lyon officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
