Linda M. "Leona" Wilkerson, 77, of Festus, formerly of Cadet, was born June 16, 1927 in Washington County a daughter of the late John Elliott and Mary Adaline (Bequette) Missey and died Monday, January 10, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City. She was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Carl "Bud" Wilkerson; five brothers, Joseph, "Everett," Melvin "Sam", Joseph "Peg," Joseph "Milton", and Joseph "Ivan" Missey and one sister, Stella Missey.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Ann (husband Dan) Eckhoff, Cadet; three sons, Kenneth Dale (wife Sharon) Wilkerson, Cedar Hill; Wayne (Kim) Wilkerson, Festus and Robert Charles Wilkerson, Loogootee, Indiana; four brothers, Joseph "Junior" (Mandy) Missey, Festus; Earl (Sheila) Missey; Hillsboro, and Joseph "Eddie" (Brenda) Missey, DeSoto; two sisters, Elizabeth (Harry) Walthers, Blackwell, and Theresa (Willard) Eckhoff, Cadet; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 from Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel, DeSoto, with Bro. Bob Theabeau officiating. Burial was in Leadwood, MO Cemetery.
