John Ferson, was the son of James McFerson 1779-1835, and Hannah McAllister 1786-1861, John was married Aura Ann Tennant 15 Jun 1848, they had four children George 1849-1849, Laura 1855-1860, Aura Ann 1861-1937, and Charles Fred 1861-1929. John then married Lucinda Shirley 20 March 1862, they had two children: Mary Frances 1865-1865 and John Russell 1867-1928. [From Dean Lillis]
