Leon J.Couture 32, died October 4, 1959. He was born in Lawrence, MA on September 13, 1926, the son of Ernest Joseph Couture and Annie Marie Hill, he was one of 11 children.
Leon received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy. He served on the USS Dayton during World War II receiving the American Theatre Medal and The World War II Victory Medal.
He married Barbara Elizabeth Germaine of Lawrence on June 21,1948. They had four children. In 1955 Leon moved his family from Andover to Amherst where he worked as a chef.
Leon is survived by his wife Barbara, a son Paul Leon, and three daughters Leah Ann, Michelle Elizabeth and Mary JoAnn.
