Minna Amelia Goettel Franklin's Obituary:

Mrs. Minna Franklin, 83, passed away at Behr Rest Home at Wells on Monday afternoon, where she had been a resident for about one year.

Minna Goettel was born at Lansing, Iowa on September 12, 1885. She attended school at Lansing and Cedar Falls Teachers College and then taught school for several years.

On March 23, 1910 she married Floyd Franklin of Blue Earth and they farmed in Verona and Elmore Townships until his death in 1959. She then moved into Elmore where she resided until entering Behr Rest Home. She was a member of United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held at United Methodist Church in Elmore today (Thursday) at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert James officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery at Blue Earth. Wicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Viewing at the Funeral Home continues until Thursday noon and then at the church until time of services.

Mrs. Franklin is survived by two sons, James and Fritz of Elmore; four grandchildren and two sisters, Esther Doescher of Blue Earth and Annetta Roggensack of Fargo, North Dakota.
