In Sudden Death A Heart Attack Early Today
Fatal at Home on Osage
Services Friday
Edward W. Pittman, age 68, for 40 years a resident of Leavenworth, died suddenly early this morning at his home, 419 Osage street. He had worked yesterday at Fort Leavenworth. A heart attack was assigned as cause of death.
Born February 23, 1874, at Beagle, Kansas, Mr. Pittman resided there until he came to Leavenworth in 1903. He was a member of the Cathedral parish.
Mr. Pittman leaves his niece, Mrs. Grace Crecelius and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bridget Cornwell, both of the home.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8 o'clock at the Cathedral, the Rev. Fr. Paul Kelly, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery. Friends will assemble Thursday night at 8:15 o'clock at the Davis Funeral Church for a rosary service. The body will remain at the funeral church.
