Frank Ward Carr, 69, a lifelong resident of
Manchester, died Sunday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the home of his sister Effa Carr, 1032 Bluff st. following a short illness with heart trouble.
Mr. Carr was born in Roscoe, Ill. on Dec. 13, 1853, moving there to Manchester where he lived until twelve years ago when he moved to Rockton. He was a charter member of Manchester camp of Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Garner, Hunter, and Mrs. Mary Krause, Manchester, two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Effa Carr, and brothers Charles, Edgar, William and Merritt Carr, all of Beloit, also survive. One son died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Effa Carr, 1031 Bluff street Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Internment will be in the Rockton cemetery.
