Mrs. Mercy Grant died at her home in Santiago township on Sunday night at ten o'clock. Mrs. Grant had been a sufferer from cancer of the stomach for a number of months and her death did not come as a surprise to her many friends.
She was fifty-six years old and had lived in Santiago for eighteen years.
The interment was made in the Oak Knoll cemetery in Santiago with Rev. Paul Haight officiating.
