Esta I. Eder, 80, of 410 Kessler Bivd., Seymour, died at 7:55 p.m. Monday at Lutheran Community Home. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was a member of st. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour. She retired from Jackson County Bank in 1975.

Mrs. Eder was born on March 17, 1908 in Kurtz, to Thomas and Lottie Fish Prather. She married Frank L. Eder on Oct. 12, 1927, in North Vernon. He died on April 5, 1956.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Davis, Seymour; a brother, Robert Prather, Seymour; five sisters, Gladys Endicott, Lillian McAdams, Lois Prather, Geneva Wineinger and Bernice James, all of Seymour; a granddaughter; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, a half brother and three half sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour. The Rev. Simon McTighe will officiate. Burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Voss Chapel.
