She was born April 10, 1925, in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Andrew and Nellie Maynor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chance; sisters, Gracie Burnette, Nancy Strickland, Emma Bledsoe, Esther Maynor and Susie Brewington; and brothers, John, Andrew Martin and Simeon Maynor.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home Chapel by Apostle Edward Chance, Prophetess Linda A. Chance, Prophetess Diane Chance and the Rev. J.E. Maynard. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.
Survivors include sons, Apostle Edward A. Chance and wife Linda of Chandler, Ariz., Edgar Chance and wife Betty of Rockwell, Conn., the Rev. Stoney Chance and wife Diane of Garner, Danny Chance of Angier, Shelton Chance and wife Carolyn of Enfield; a daughter, Doris Givens and husband Fred of Winston-Salem; sisters, Adlene Maynor of Dunn and Mary Maynor of Burlington; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
