Charles Morris Bell, Jr. was the first child born to Charles Morris Bell, Sr. and Jane Panting Bell. He was born 28 Sept 1874 in Franklin, Oneida, Idaho. His eyes were blue, he was 5'8" tall and weighed 180 pounds, and his hair was dark auburn. In Oct 1894 he married Daisy Ora Potter (the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Amelia Ann Brown Potter). They lived in Oxford, Idaho where their son, Morris Charles was born (13 Sep 1895). They moved to Dempsey, Idaho (now Lava Hot Springs) where he helped his father farm and operate a saw mill. They had a daughter, Daisy Mary (who is my grandmother) on 7 May 1898 at Demspey. Daisy Ora became ill with typhoid fever and passed away 17 March 1901 leaving Charles with two small children to care for. Morris was 5 and Daisy was 2 when their mother died. Charlie, as he was also known as, took the children and returned home to live with his parents. In April 1905 Charlie went to England on a mission, leaving his children with his parents. While in England Charlie met Edith Elizabeth Edwards who after his mission he married on 9 January 1907 in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Dempsey, where Charlie worked with his father & brothers. Charlie and Edith became parents of six children: Orrin Edward, Edith Jennie, Dora Jane, AG and Daverne Delphaia & Carol Gwen. From 1911 until 1930 Charlie was a deputy. In 1926 he moved his family to Pocatello, Idaho. On 5 October 1936 Charlie and his sons, Orrin and AG were bringing a load of logs down from the Mink Creek Canyon near Pocatello when the truck overturned. Charlie was taken to the General Hospital in Pocatello where he died that evening. His funeral was held 9 Oct 1936 in Pocatello, Idaho.
