Allen R Marshall, 55, plant manager for Jackson Ice Cream Co. since 1939, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning.

He apparently suffered a heart attack and was rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Born Jan. 29, 1913, at Coldwater, he moved to Hutchinson from Lorraine in 1931.

He was a member of the Park Place Christian Church, moose Lodge and Reno Masonic Lodge No. 140.

Survivors include the widow, Grace; son Gary, 232 East Sherman; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Simms, Rochester, N.Y.; brothers, William of Abilene, Tex., and Cecil of 417 West Sherman; sisters, Mrs. Kenneth White, 900 North Lincoln and Mrs. Kenneth Wilkins, Dighton; three grandchildren.
