Norfolk, VA., July 16.—Frank D. Gill, formerly one of the best known citizens of Portsmouth, died suddenly this afternoon on a Norfolk-Southern train. Mr. Gill was for years one of the lessees of the Norfolk-Portsmouth ferries, and was prominently identified in business circles in the two cities. He was en route to his home at Lynnhaven Inlet when he died. Heart failure was given as the cause of death. The body was brought to Norfolk on a special car.
