Royal Harvey Butler, 81, of 596 4th, died Sunday morning at the Dee hospoital of natural causes.
Mr. Butler was born Jan. 22, 1886, in Marriott, a son of George Harvey and Rose Anna Clack Butler.
On Aug. 22, 1905, he was married Essie Mae Davis Hoggan in the LDS Temple.
He resided in Marriott until 1940 when he came to Ogden.
He had been employed as a baggage foreman for the Ogden Union Railway and Depot Co., retiring in October 1954.
He was an elder in the Twenty-ninth LDS Ward.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Alford LaRoy Butler and Milton George Butler, both of Ogden, six daughters, Mrs. Bert (Dora Mae) Gail, Mrs. Donald (Afton Marjorie) Nye, both of Ogden; Mrs. Walter (Viola) Turley, Mrs. Eldon (Leona Essie) Child, both of Clinton; Mrs. John (Minnie) Kimbal, Roy; Mrs. Grant (Donna Berdice) Probst, Washington Terrace; 36 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs, Lawrence (Zelda) Dalton, Mrs. Archie (Lottie) Anderson, Mrs. Wilmer (Livina) Coop, Mrs. George ( Thelma) Gibbs, all of Ogden; Mrs. Cleve(Millie) Poulsen, Liberty.
Funeral services will be held tuesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop John L. Holmes of the Twenty-ninth Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary tonight from 7 to 8 and tuesday prior to sevices. Burial in Ogden City Cemetery.
