Phyllis Jordan passed away quietly January 19, 1992 due to heart failure.

Born November 1, 1915, daughter of Natalie Elise and Otto Johnson in Cottonwood, Utah. Graduated from Murray High School in 1934, where she was vice president of her class. Married Howard B. Freeze in 1938; he died in 1945. Married Dr. Richard L. Harris in 1946; he died in 1955. Married Richard W. Jordan in 1964- he was her loving partner until the time of her death.

Phyllis was always interested in civic affairs. In 1958, she became the first director of Volunteers for Holy Cross Hospital, helping to create their new volunteer program. She served as a board member of the Community Nursing Service, a member of the Women's Legislative Council, and president of the Council on Hospital Auxiliaries of the Utah State Hospital Association. She also served as the Director of Volunteers representative for the Western Hospital Assoc. She is an honorary life member of the Holy Cross Hospital Auxiliary. Since from retiring from Holy Cross Hospital, she has been a member of the American Rose Society, and a member of the Rose Research Test Panel for Jackson-Perkins. Last, and best of all, she was a member of the Heritage Doll Club of Utah. She found this hobby very rewarding-it allowed her to use her creative ability.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Janice and her husband Michael Crosby; grandchildren, Carolyn Aalberg and Stephen Keyser; sister Irene Marcek.
She was a wonderful, sensitive, caring person whom her family and friends will miss very much.
