Services for Mr. Weldon P. Acree, age 83, of Rocky Branch, LA will be 2:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Rocky Branch, LA with Rev. Paul Carter, Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Branch Cemetery, Rocky Branch, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Acree died on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Acree was a retired operator from a gas Transmission Company. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Acree was preceded in death by his wife, Merle T. Acree.
Survivors include his five children: Don Acree and wife Frances, Pat Chapman and husband Gary, Darvin Acree and wife Sherry, Teresa Booth and husband Larry, J. W. Acree, all of Rocky Branch, LA; sisters: Yvonne Acree Smith of West Monroe, LA, Martha Rogers of Dallas, TX; brothers: Danny Acree and Jessie Acree, both of West Monroe, LA; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Acree's grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Tim Acree, Mitchell Acree, John Salter, Mark Chapman, Josh Acree and Jaried Acree.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
