Marie J. Arehart Reynolds

Marie J. Reynolds, 85, of Lebanon and formerly of Holley died on May 13, 1999 at the Oaks in Lebanon.
She was born on May 8, 1914 in Lebanon and was reared in the Mt. Hope area area near Lebanon.
She married Edgar Reynolds on November 25, 1931 in Albany. The couple lived in Crawfordsville until moving to Salem during World War II. They settled in Holley in December 1945 and resided there until moving to The Oaks in Lebanon in 1995. Mr. Reynolds preceded her in death on September 22, 1998.
Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Holley Christian Church where she had served as a deaconess, a Sunday school teacher and belonged to the ladies quilting group. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and crocheting.
She is survived by her three daughters, Rose Rice, Carol Nichol and Pat Cheek all of Holley; sons, Ken Reynolds of Shedd and Don Reynolds of Sweet Home; sisters LaDonna Moody of Albany and Doris Holman of Coos Bay; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edgar Reynolds Jr.; grandson Bobby Reynolds; brothers, Jesse Arehart, Kenneth Arehart and Herman Rester Arehart; and a baby sister.
A memorial service was held on Monday at the Holley Christian Church with Pastor Kent Mayberry officiating. Private burial will be held at the Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
