LOVINGTON - Services for Dessie Fay Bilbrey of Crossroads will be held at 1 p.m. (MST) today at First Baptist Church in Bledsoe, Texas. The Rev. Hollis Shoemake will officiate. Services are under the direction of Smith-Rogers Funeral Home of Lovington.

Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery.

Mrs. Bilbrey, 90, died Sunday, July 30, at Nor-Lea General Hospital in Lovington. She was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Monument. She married Wayman Price "Pete" Bilbrey on Aug. 13, 1930, in Carlsbad.

Mrs. Bilbrey was an active member of First Baptist Church for many years, having served as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a 4-H Club leader.

Survivors include five sons, Bill Bilbrey of Burleson, Texas, Milton Bilbrey of Levelland, Texas, Kenneth Bilbrey of Morton, Texas, Marion Bilbrey of Crossroads and Johnny Bilbrey of Odessa; four daughters, Teresa Sooter of Seminole, Patsy Davis and Bessie Denny, both of Bledsoe, Texas, and Eva Sooter of Tatum; one brother, Lonzo Dickison of Maude, Texas; one sister, Ada Martin of Levelland; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bilbrey was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; two brothers, Guinn Dickison and Wylie Dickison; three sisters, Jessie London, Dorothy Steadham and Frankie Hollis; and four infant brothers and sisters.
