Robert E. Heflin, age 75 of Flippin, passed from this life on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born in Madera, California on August 3, 1933, a son of the late Warren N. and Grace (Williams) Heflin. Robert had lived in the area for the last 25 years having come from Knowles, California and worked at Ranger Boats in the clothing department. He was Pentecostal by faith.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Donald Heflin (Jodie) and Robert Eugene Heflin both of Flippin; two daughters, Vicky Jensen of Chowchilla, California and Marlena Schwab of Freemont, California; three brothers, Bill Foreman and Virgil Foreman both of Madera, California and Raymond Heflin of Chadbourn, North Carolina; one sister, Helen Heflin of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn; one son, Ernest Neal and one daughter, Olanda.
Graveside services for Mr. Heflin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009 at Layton Cemetery in Yellville with Heith Hogan officiating. Honorary pallbearers are his family members.
