Miss Edith Castle departed this life February 19 at St. Louis. Edith had been
ailing some time and her parents had taken her there for treatment. We
understand the cause of her death was a cancerous tumor. We extend sincere
sympathy to her mourning relatives.
March 3, 1904
The funeral services of Miss Edith Castle, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Castle, were held in the Stringtown church on February 22nd, conducted by Rev.
Mr. Graham. The remains were laid to rest in the Stringtown cemetery. Miss
Castle was visiting with her uncle and family near Ambazonia, Missouri at the
time of her death and the remains were brought to Lenox and from there to the church.
