Obituary.

Michael Cronin, was born in County Cork, Ireland, in 1821; died in Harrison county, Missouri, September 20, 1902. He came to this country in youth and was married in 1844 to Julia Denison at Middletown, Connecticut. To this union there were born twelve children, seven of whom are living, as follows; Mary Donahue, of Melrose; Kate Jeffers of Central Point, Oregon; John Cronin of Decatur County; Nellie Dailey, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Jerry Cronin of Blythedale, Mo; Julia Fox, of Woodburn; P.J. Cronin of Des Moines. Michael Cronin and wife moved from Connecticut to Chicago shortly after their marriage, and came to Clarke county in 1874. Since then he has resided in Woodburn, until a few weeks ago his son Jerry took both parents to live with him at Blythedale, Mo., on account of their rapidly failing health. Death came soon afterwards and his remains were interred at St. Mary's cemetery at Woodburn, September 22, 1902.

Julia Cronin was born in County Cork, Ireland in 1825. The remaining facts of her life are given in the above sketch of Michael Cronin. She died at the home of her son Jerry September 28, 1902, and was buried September 29, by the side of her beloved husband. Both funerals were conducted at St. Mary's church in this city by Rev. F. P. Gaffney of Chariton, and were attended by all the children except Nellie Dailey of New York, and Kate Jeffers of Oregon.--Woodburn Record.
