Georgia Reidhead Adams
(December 5, 1922 - April 19, 2007)

Georgia Reidhead Adams, a lifelong resident of Show Low, Arizona died April 19, 2007 at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside at the age of 84. She was born on December 5, 1922 in Show Low, Arizona to the late German Howard and Lillie (Petersen) Reidhead. She attended grammar school in The Show Low School District and then attended one year of high school in Snowflake. Georgia married her childhood sweetheart, E. Ross Adams, on July 1, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona. Their marriage was later solemnized in The Mesa, Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In 1947, she and Ross built the old "Ross' Café" in downtown Show Low, where they worked together for many years. She later worked as the desk clerk, for a short while, at the Porterhouse Motel in Show Low. Georgia was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a faithful visiting teacher in its Relief Society throughout her life. She also served as the Primary president for several years and was extremely devoted to her family history, performing countless hours of research to her family's genealogy. Georgia enjoyed working with her hands and spent many hundreds of hours crocheting and quilting and could frequently be found gardening in her yard, where her family and friends always seemed to appreciate her flowers. She will, however, be remembered best by her family, as a devoted wife, a loving mother and a dear grandmother.

Georgia is survived by her six children: Arvel Adams, Sharlene (Paul) Hatch, Kay (Sandy) Adams, Debbie (Glenn) Brossman, Delbert Adams, Robert (Sharon) Adams; 26 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, April 27, 2007 at Owens Mortuary, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Show Low where additional visitation will take place hour prior. Interment will follow at the Show Low Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Georgia's name to RTA Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 1789 W. Commerce Drive, Lakeside, AZ 85929
