Ed was the youngest child born to Morgan & Sarah Jennings in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. He was seven years old when the family moved to Texas.
His first marriage was to Margaret Mansel (sister to Clara Mansel who married Newton, Ed's older brother). They had three children: Betty born 1898, Albert Bowen born 1902 and Lon(Pug)Jennings born 1909.
The 1910 Census shows Ed as head of household, 33 years old, a farmer and had been married to Drew for 6 months, she was born in Texas.
Ed & Drew had five children: Jewell, Vernette, Ore, Bonnylyn, and twins, Effie & Evie Jennings.
It is said that Ed Jennings was a very handsome man.

Memories from Granddaughter, Sue Morgan: Grandpa Jennings was a baker. I don't know why his name was changed. I have a copy of his original birth certificate. We knew him as William Edward Jennings. Don't know where the Isaac came from. He loved to pretend to be asleep and tell us stories.
