"Dee" as he was always known had lived in Vancouver, Washington for more than 35 years. He was a heavy mechanic, welder and fabricator and owned and operated Dee's Welding from 1973 to 1981 in Vancouver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his five cats.
Survivors at the time of his death included his wife, Janet Shipley; five daughters: Sandra D., Bobbie D., Laurie D., Barbara D., and Vickie D.; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters (Sharon, Mary, and Eva), two brothers (Kenneth and David Sr.), and their families.
